Hops Hysteria: A Shocking Final Matchup is Set

March 27, 2020  |  Emily Woodring  |  1 min read

Then there were just two.

The Final Four in Tap List’s inaugural Hops Hysteria beer bracket consisted of matchups between:

1 seed Tank 7 by Boulevard Brewing Co. vs. 2 seed Dunkel by KC Bier Co.

1 seed The Calling by Boulevard Brewing Co. vs. 8 seed Tessellation Wheat IPA by Double Shift Brewing Co.

Your votes came through and democracy has spoken. Tap List followers wiped out both 1 seeds and sent the underdogs to the finals. That’s right, local beer lovers, Boulevard did not make it to the championship round of Hops Hysteria.

Wow. Just wow.

The Hops Hysteria championship now pits Dunkel by KC Bier Co. against Tessellation Wheat IPA by Double Shift, which has emerged as our beer bracket Cinderella story.

So, it’s the last call for beer votes. You have until midnight Sunday to let us know which year-round Kansas City beer is the best of them all. Tune in to the Hops Hysteria video here on Tuesday when beer enthusiast Cassie Niemeyer will not only announce which beer has won, but also who submitted the most accurate prediction bracket.
