The Roasterie is heralding the arrival later this summer of its new cafe inside the H&R Block headquarters Wednesday with a “Block Party” offering free food and coffee.
The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the H&R Block lobby, will give people a taste of what to expect when The Roasterie opens what will be its ninth cafe in the metro.
The 1,500 square-foot cafe will serve air-roasted coffee and specialty drinks from Roasterie including teas, cold brew and nitro cold brew. It also will feature pastries and grab-and-go snacks, according to a press release.
“The Roasterie Cafe at H&R Block’s downtown headquarters is a prime location for not only H&R Block associates and clients, but also for people working in the area,” Danny O’Neill, founder of The Roasterie, said in a statement.
“To open this cafe venture with H&R Block during our 25th anniversary year is particularly meaningful.”

“When we first moved downtown 10 years ago, we were virtually the only ones here,” Barnes said in a statement. “Now, we’re surrounded and Power & Light has become a destination, both during the work week and in evenings and weekends.
“It’s thrilling to have the Roasterie add its services here for both our associates and others in the neighborhood.”
