Things are getting a little weird in the entertainment world, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this case, it’s a good sort of weird.
Flatland spent a recent evening at the Boulevard Drive-In Theatre, which hosted the world premiere of “I Am Lisa,” local filmmaker Patrick Rea’s latest movie.
More than 300 vehicles wheeled into the drive-in for a socially distant screening of the unabashedly gory horror film.
Rea was taken aback by it all.
“It’s a combination of excitement and being overwhelmed,” Rea said, adding that he’s used to screening movies at film festivals in front of five people.
