This month’s “Art House” is uniquely Kansas City — an intensely local, intensely indie look inside the process of shoestring movie making.
Our featured guests are Lawrence filmmaker Patrick Rea and Kansas City screenwriter, producer and actor Michelle Davidson Bratcher. Both have carved out successful careers in film while based in the heartland.
Rea regales us with how to make a full-length feature film for $75,000, in just 13 days. Bratcher shares how she balances roles both in front and behind the camera, including working with film great David Fincher.
We also take a look behind the scenes at the recent world premiere of Rea’s new horror flick, “I Am Lisa,” at our very own local Boulevard Drive-In Theatre.
All in all, it’s an “Art House” season finale that makes you proud to be a Kansas Citian. Now, cue the attached video and… action!
