Rafi Chaudry and Travis Moore, co-owners of Torn Label Brewing Co., set aside promising career opportunities in Hollywood and Chicago to brew beer in the Crossroads Arts District.
Six years later, they make those fork-in-the-road decisions sound like complete no-brainers.
“If somebody asks you if you might want to start a brewery, I think the laws of the universe require you to say yes,” Chaudry says.
See the story of Torn Label, 1708 Campbell St., on this week’s installment of “The Block.”
“The Block” takes viewers on a journey through Kansas City’s streets to get a sense of the people and cuisine – the fabric of KC’s neighborhoods. But this isn’t just a food show. There’s history, culture and unknown facts about Kansas City. You’ll go inside kitchens, see how food and drinks are made, and peek into the lives of everyday Kansas Citians working in the service industry.
