Just a few years ago, most folks probably couldn’t name a hard seltzer. Now they’re everywhere.
Introduced in 2013, hard seltzer is expected to tally $2.5 billion in sales in 2021. Almost every major brewery now makes hard seltzer, and more craft brewers are tapping into a whole new audience seeking a low-calorie, low-sugar buzz.
Put simply, hard seltzer has become more than a passing fad.
Admittedly, a lot of hardcore craft beer connoisseurs, including some of your friends at Flatland, aren’t exactly big fans of hard seltzer. But we feel an obligation to check it out.
So move over White Claw, Truly and whatever else is out there while Tap List beer enthusiast Cassie Niemeyer sips the local fizz. Check out the attached video to find out what she thinks of local seltzers currently on tap from: Lawrence Beer Co., Boulevard Brewing Co., and Brew Lab.
