The 13th Annual KC Fringe Festival continues tonight through July 30 and is using the new Haverty Family Yards outdoor venue next to Union Station for its “Late Night at the Fringe” event.

Tonight and Saturday, from 9 p.m. to midnight, the annual arts event is hosting what it calls a chance to “hang out with the artists, volunteers and crew” at the outdoor venue next to the Union Station planetarium. Admission is free with a $5 Fringe Button.

The Late Night event at Haverty Yard features live music and beer with a great view of the downtown skyline. It also will continue next weekend, July 28 and 29.

The annual Fringe Festival, which began July 20, features live theater, music, dance, cabaret, variety, performance art, puppetry, spoken word, visual art and film. Its venues are spread from downtown to the Country Club Plaza.

The downtown venues are: Union Station; Crown Center; Phosphor Studio, 1730 Broadway; Arts Asylum, 1000 E. Ninth St.; Arts Tech, 1522 Holmes; The Bolender Center, 500 W. Pershing, and The Folly, 300 W. 12th St.

Entrance to events requires a $5 Fringe Button, free for youth, and most events cost $10 and last one hour. The Fringe 411 Boutique on the theater level of Union Station sells tickets, Fringe merchandise and an artists’ market of jewelry, accessories and other items.
