Husband and wife team Steve and Mary Pruitt are among Kansas City’s most prolific local filmmakers. They have produced three feature films since 2017 – “The Tree,” “Terminal” and “The Land.”
The latter film hits close to home in the heartland, particularly for folks of a certain age facing the most existential of questions.
“Are you more than what you do?” Steve Pruitt asked. “I think so many baby boomers have realized, ‘Maybe I’m not more than what I do.’ And we answer the question …”
