Snooze A.M. Eatery, the Denver-based breakfast chain, is beginning to stir in Westport with a special pop-up preview party this Sunday followed by the formal opening Feb. 5.

The new restaurant at 4140 Broadway is partnering with Boulevard Brewing for “Bingo and Brunch” on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will feature the cafe’s special Pineapple Upside-Down Pancakes and Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Brewmosas.

As part of the special event, 100 percent of the profits from the Pineapple Upside-Down Pancake and $1 from every Brewmosa will be donated to Turn the Page KC, helping children reach their reading goals, according to a release.

Snooze also will be handing out free swag and tossing in some fun bingo prizes. More information can be found here.

As for the main course, Snooze will open its first restaurant in Kansas City on Feb. 5. The first Snooze opened in Denver 12 years ago and the new Kansas City operation brings its total nationwide to 38 outlets.

The new Snooze seats 171 people inside and 50 on its dog-friendly patio.

According to the press release, “the restaurant will bring its vibrant and energetic atmosphere through its retro-inspired decor and staff of friendly Snoozers.”

The menu will include Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes, Breakfast Pot Pie and Snooze Spuds Deluxe. Patrons also can create their own customized breakfast blends with different types of pancakes and egg dishes.

There’s also breakfast cocktails that include the usual Bloody Mary and Mimosa, but also coffee-based cocktails and morning margaritas, according to the release.

The firm prides itself on its sustainable environmental practices and its philanthropy.

The 4,285 square-foot restaurant seats 121 people inside and 50 outside on its dog-friendly patio. Hours will be from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. seven days a week
