Mother’s Refuge
Since being established in 1987, more than 1,700 pregnant young women and babies have been helped with this program. Mother’s Refuge is located in Independence, Missouri, and provides shelter, education, medical care and community support to homeless, pregnant young women or young mothers and their babies. They even help mothers after they graduate from their program with continued emotional support. The program is led by an all-women, qualified staff.
