Ugly Holiday Sweater Dog Party & Other Weekend Possibilities

November 30, 2017  |  Jonathan Bender  |  3 min read

You know that onesie you bought for Christmas? Get it out of the drawer and head to Rhythm & Booze (423 Southwest Blvd). It’s hosting an adult onesie party this from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday. Not a onesie person? You can trot out your ugly Christmas sweater at the 403 Club (614 Reynolds Ave., Kansas City, Kansas). The 403 Club is hosting an Ugly Sweater Pinball Tournament at 5 p.m. Saturday. The tournament is hosted by Oskar Blues Brewery, which means you’ll be drinking some Dale’s Pale Ale. Not an ugly sweater person? How about an Ugly Holiday Sweater Dog Party? Bar K (515 Liberty St.) is hosting the celebration of pugliness from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Holiday shopping is more pleasant with a glass of wine in hand. KC Wineworks (1829 McGee St.) is hosting a Handcrafted Holiday Pop Up from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday. April Madden Studio, Dolyn Bags and Lucia’s Sarto [see their story below] will be among the handmade vendors. In addition to wine by the glass or bottle, they’ll have cider on tap and mulled wine.

Love, Coffee (813 SW Lemans Lane, Lee’s Summit, Missouri) is a new coffee shop. It’s a full-service coffee bar that serves up some original creations like a white chocolate mocha or eggnog, pumpkin pie or maple spice latte. There’s a drive-thru attached to the cafe, as well.
