Ravenous, the outdoor casual café the Corvino Supper Club had planned to open last summer, has quietly started operation as a take-out lunch option until warmer weather returns.

“Due to construction challenges and consequential city licensing, it did not get completed until earlier this month,” Christina Corvino said in a recent press release.

“As it is an outdoor space, it didn’t make sense to do a grand opening until probably March. However, we were ready to go on our end so we’ve decided to run it for weekday lunch out of our existing kitchen.”

Orders can be made in-person or at RavenousKC.com, according to the release, and the guest will select delivery via DoorDash or pick-up inside Corvino, which is located on the ground floor of the Corrigan Station building at 1830 Walnut.

The menu includes cheeseburgers, a rock shrimp sandwich, mushroom sandwich, fries, cheesy chilly butter tots, fried pies, salads and shakes.

Ravenous will operation Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Corvino said there’s a possibility its hours might be extended to weekends and dinners depending on how well the production for both concepts can co-exist until spring.

Ravenous will be located in a former alley between the Corrigan Station building and a new office addition that was recently completed to the west at 20th and Main.

(Editor’s note: Beginning Dec. 2, CityScene KC will become a paid subscription publication)
