It might be the most valuable closet in the Kansas City metro area: Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, and Halston are just a few of the renowned fashion designers included in the Johnson County Community College international fashion collection. Among the thousands of garments in the collection are some dating back to the 1800s. The assemblage is an invaluable teaching tool for the school’s Fashion Merchandising & Design program, which is a partner with Kansas City Fashion Week.

Flatland has been previewing the various people and professions that go into creating a runway show for Kansas City Fashion Week. The fashion documentary “Walk, Turn, Walk,” premieres on KCPT, Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 7:30 pm. Follow #WalkTurnWalk on Twitter and Facebook.
