Coming Now: The Premiere of “Art House” – a Show for Cinephiles
Series Preview
December 6, 2019 | John G. McGrath | 1 min read
Grab some popcorn and the beverage of your choice. It’s time for “Art House.”
The recent resurrection of the much-beloved Tivoli within the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art may be the feel-good story of the year. So much so, in fact, that it inspired us at Flatland to take a crack at producing “Art House,” a monthly show for cinephiles.
“Art House” isn’t designed to compete with the typical mainstream movie yap fest. Rather, host John McGrath, Tivoli curator Jerry Harrington and a rotating guest from Kansas City’s thriving film community discuss a topic of the moment, current art film releases and streaming recommendations for cinephiles.
Today is our digital premiere, as they say, on Flatland. If all goes well, “Art House” will be coming soon to KCPT. So sit back, relax and enjoy the attached Flatland conversation. You may well learn something in the process.
Reading these stories is free, but telling them is not. Start your monthly gift now to support Flatland’s community-focused reporting.
