You know those doors that say “Authorized Personnel Only”? Well, we’re opening them. Join Flatland as we peel back the curtain, lift the manhole cover, go in the back door, and get unfiltered access to what’s behind the scenes in Kansas City.
This month, we head to Parkville, Missouri, for a behind-the-scenes look inside the iconic central clock tower at Park University’s Mackay Hall. We view the original timbers harvested from the campus by students, who built the landmark over a period of seven years beginning in 1886. We also see the resting place of the original Seth Thomas tower clock, installed in 1893, that ran the four faces of the clock.
