Craig Slawson, the Denver developer who’s bought into the River Market real estate scene in a big way, plans to begin his first construction early next year, six townhouses along Wyandotte Street.
The new residences will join two townhouses built by the late developer Tom Trabon on the east side of Wyandotte between Fourth and Fifth streets. Slawson said the new residences will be similar in scale to the existing townhouses.
“They should be identical in feel from the outside, but the look might change,” Slawson.
The townhouses will be a mix of two- and three-bedroom designs. The 1,900 square-foot three-bedroom units will include 3 1/2 baths and a two-car garage. The 1,400 square-foot two-bedroom units will feature three baths and a single-car garage.
Both styles will include rooftop decks and other outdoor space.
Slawson said the townhouses should be ready for occupancy by late summer 2018.
This is the first project planned to be built by Slawson. He also envisions building a hotel, enclosed marketplace, and condominiums on his River Market properties
The developer also recently relocated a historic Kansas City streetcar to a site at Fifth and Delaware with plans to use it as an ice cream parlor.
