Artist Coalition Virtual Fashion Show Walks Streetcar Aisle

The Kansas City Artists Coalition is riding the rails this year for its annual Coalesce fashion show, turning the aisles of a streetcar into a runway for a video production that will be aired virtually on Nov. 7.
“We are confident that Kansas City, and possibly the nation, has never seen a runway show like this before and the KC Streetcar was a leader in making that happen,” according to a release from the KC Streetcar Authority.
The Covid pandemic prevented the Artists Coalition from staging a live version of its annual fashion show which features high fashion designs by local artists and the Gown Gallery. The Coalesce show supports local artists and the Gown Gallery
Many of the local participants this year are also Art in the Loop artists who created art that you can see at our streetcar stops and on our Art Car: Hope and Gratitude, according to the release.

It took two days to film the show. It will be aired virtually from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“Guests will safely experience how eight local Kansas City artists transform gowns into walking canvasses of fine art with a virtual experience unlike any other,” according to the Artist Coalition website.
Participating artists are: Two Tone Print; Wolfe Brack; Uzz Buzz; Nazanin Amiri Meers; Robert Castillo; Jessica Rogers; Ada Koch, and Megan Ganey.
