Be sure to check out catering options online.
6 – 8 p.m. Down from the North Pole one last time before the big night, Santa will hit the Summit Ice, 120 N.E. Chipman Road, on Saturday. Sharing the ice with Santa is $11 for non-residents and $8 for Lee’s Summit residents. Skate rental is $3.
6 – 9 p.m. Slip into something hideous and celebrate the gifts that are local music and beer during The Night Kadesh Stole Christmas Ugly Sweater Party at Vine Street Brewing Co., 2000 Vine St. Kansas City’s first Black-owned brewery has more than a dozen beers on tap. Live music will come courtesy of Kadesh Flow and The Deshtet. The ugliest sweater gets a prize. There is no admission fee.
6 – 11 p.m. Sar-Ko Aglow at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park, 87th Street and Lackman Parkway in Lenexa, should amp up the holiday spirit. Walk along miles of light strands and colorful displays reflecting off Rose’s Pond. Best of all, admission and parking are free.
7 p.m. Over at recordBar, 1520 Grand Blvd., local music legends Radkey will put on their annual X-MAS Evil Eve show, featuring The Ugly Cowboys and The Utilitarians. Tickets are $19.83 online in advance. Expect a service charge if you pay at the door.

Noon – 5 p.m. If you’re still scrambling to stir up something to feed the family on Sunday, consider the Christmas Eve Dinner To-Go from Rye Leawood, 10551 Mission Road. A shrimp cocktail tray and whipped goat cheese appetizers, plus pies can be added on. Be sure to check out the full menu online.
