KCPT has been recognized with three regional Emmy awards.
The Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the awards at the 43rd Annual Mid-America Emmy Awards Saturday night.
“Receiving three Emmys is an honor for the station and speaks to the diverse content and storytelling that’s happening across all our brands – KCPT, 90.9 The Bridge and Flatland, KCPT’s digital magazine,” said KCPT President and CEO Kliff Kuehl. “It’s an honor to work with so many talented team members in such an amazing city.”
KCPT won Emmys for the following programs:
Arts/Entertainment – Program/Special: Me, Dorothy… and This Road to Oz
Public/Current/Community Affairs – Feature/Segment: Public Works?: Evicted
Special Event Coverage (other than News or Sports) Live or Edited: Celebration at the Station in partnership with the Kansas City Symphony
