Tiny Toys, Big Museum

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures outpunches its weight among museum goers.
The museum, established in 1982, is a not-so-secret treasure at 5235 Oak St. on the campus of the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
In fact, the museum’s popularity prompted an inquiry for our curiousKC team: Just how many tiny toys are in that big museum? Flatland’s Brad Austin chased down the answer on this week’s video. (It’s a surprisingly big number.)
The museum is open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily, except when it’s closed on Tuesdays and major holidays. Ticket prices range from free for children aged 5 and under to $8 for adult general admission.
