Why waste time waiting for reservations on Valentine’s Day when there’s the whole weekend to woo that special someone?

Friday, Feb. 14

6:30 – 8 p.m. If you’ve been there and done that when it comes to Valentine’s Day dinners, consider Valentine’s Day Partner Yoga at Ready Set Flow, 2450 West Pennway. Whether you’re a bonafide yogi or just looking for a different type of date, instructor Laura Johnston will lead couples through a one-hour class focused on mind and body connection through breath and movement. The session is $20 per person. Post-yoga champagne is included.

7:30 p.m. Friday marks the opening night for Swan Lake’s return to the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts. The classic ballet, which set Kauffman box office records in 2016, tells the story of Princess Odette and her curse, which is only to be broken by a prince’s promise and true love. Swan Lake runs through Feb. 23. Tickets start at $34.

8 p.m. If you and yours share a love of music, grab two tickets to The Music of Pink Floyd with the Kansas City Symphony, also at the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts. The KC Symphony will join a full rock band to pay tribute to Pink Floyd’s transformative tunes, playing selections from “Dark Side of the Moon,” “The Wall” and more. Tickets for the not-so-quiet night at the Kauffman start at $40.

Saturday, Feb. 15

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Chances are, a few of your favorite things will be served Saturday at the Upper Crust Pie Pairing at Rochester Brewing and Roasting Co, 2129 Washington St. Rochester is rolling out four different samples of beer and coffee to be paired with four samples of Upper Crust pie. Tickets for the tasty local business twosome are $10.

12 p.m. See the stars like never before with Science City’s Sky Station Live – Seasonal Star Tour at Union Station, 30 W. Pershing Road. The Gottlieb Planetarium’s 4K star tour led by Science City educators will teach stargazers about mythology in astronomy, elements of the cosmos invisible to the naked eye and more. The tour runs 30-40 minutes. Tickets are $7.

12 – 2 p.m. Get ready to bare it all — or most of it — for Cupid’s Undie Run at McFadden’s Sports Saloon in the Power and Light District, 1330 Grand Blvd. Registration starts at noon and the party rolls on from there. Following the brief run around town, the dash wraps up back at McFadden’s, joining cities across the country in raising money and awareness for Neurofibromatosis Research. Don’t know what to wear? Underwear, creative costumes, tutus and onesies are encouraged, however participants are asked to keep it PG-13. Registration is $45.

7 p.m. Truth in Comedy is coming to The Bunker Center for Art, 1014 E. 19th St., for a night of stand-up comedy, storytelling and art. Grab a ticket and watch as three local storytellers tell their personal tales to inspire an ensuing set of standup from three Kansas City comedians. Local artist Iris Appelquist will close the evening with a companion art piece. The event is open to those 21 and older. Tickets are $15, plus fees.

Sunday, Feb. 16

10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. You can’t go wrong with brunch at Café Sebastienne, 4420 Warwick Blvd. Make reservations to get in on the rotating brunch menu, featuring items like the Chickpea Pancake, Pork Shoulder Hash or Duck Chilaquiles. The Café Sebastienne brunch cocktail list offers more than just bloody marys and mimosas. Pucker up for the Plum Spritzer made with Tom’s Town Gin.

10 a.m. – 4 p.m. If golf is your true love, then the stars have officially aligned this weekend at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Blvd. Sunday marks the final day of the Kansas City Golf Show, which features three days of main stage speakers like long drive world champion David Brinker, over 100 exhibitors ranging from club manufacturers to course designers, a range of interactive skill tests and much more. Tickets for the whole weekend are $15 for general admission and $14 for active duty military/first responders and seniors. The “Players Tour Pass” packed with extra goodies is $54.

If you’re saving date night for Sunday, make reservations for Mesob in its new location in the heart of Midtown, 3601 Broadway Blvd. Mesob’s authentic Ethiopian, Eritrean and Caribbean menu is packed with beef, lamb, goat, poultry, seafood and vegetable options, many of which meet vegan preparation standards. The drink menu offers a handful of colorful cocktails and imported beers from Haiti and Ethiopia.
